Seventeen members of the Monday Golf Group showed up Nov. 18 to take on the par-70 Riverview course.
Paul Cose had a great day, with low round of the day a 63, three birdies and closest to the pin on the over-the-water ninth hole.
He was followed by Bill McKusky, 67; Jim Dickerson and Merle McGee.
Merle had fewest putts and a bird. Rounding out the flight was Tom McCullough, Don McLane (bird), David Johns and Larry Hillhouse.
Ron Maddox posted his third qualifying round.
Mike Looney won the second flight with a 66 and a birdie.
He was followed by Rich Miller, 67; Lowell Goltra, 69; Bob Looney, Marv Ballard Bob Munn and Ed Dragan.
Bob had the fewest putts, 30; Rich and Ed had birdies and Ed was closest to the pin on the second hole.
Lowell had a good time with his son Jim, who was able to join the group for the holidays.
Next play will be Nov. 25 at the Baker course.

Bob Marselle missed his star by one point, scoring an 846 at the Nov. 12 meeting of the Cribbage Club in Clubhouse 1.
Scott Boeger and Chuck Nugent tied for second place with good scores of 844, followed by Wanda Bemben, 843; and Sandra deDubovay, 842.
A decorated cake and ice cream were furnished by Joe Notrica for his Nov. 25th birthday. Joe served the ice cream, and Margaret Smith cut and served the cake. Nancy Demery helped serve and Anita Smart furnished a side of sesame pretzel sticks.
A box of cards was donated by Karl Henry.
Guests Lorene Christen and Paula Loucks started learning cribbage at 11 a.m. and stayed to watch at the tables when the games began.
The club meets at noon, Tuesdays, in Clubhouse 1 and new members are welcome.

The Aces waxed the Screaming Eagles, 12-6, in the Shuffleboard Club’s Friday League play Nov. 15 in Clubhouse 1.
The Aces’ all-game winners were Pat Bennett, Lee Broadbent, Joyce Crockett, John Loasby and Bobby Stringer.
In the second game, the Buffalo Shufflers defeated the Raptors, 13-5. All-game winners for the Buffalo Shufflers were Roger Bennett, Gary Blakesley and Kathy Schrader.
After the Turkey Shoot game tomorrow, Friday, members will break until after the year-end holidays.

Four tables of Tournament Poker Club players turned out Nov. 9 to play poker and sharpen their dealing skills. The morning started with a class by club Vice President Carole Damoci, the last teaching class of the year.
Thanks to Carole for coming early to give lessons to those who want a good start learning poker strategy.
Three tables of competitors played Texas Hold ‘em and others at one table played Omaha Hi/Lo. Since it was not a tournament, there was no high hand competition.
Texas Hold ‘em winners were Lem Hall and Ralph Provow, Grace Buster and Lucy Starkey, and Angie Oh and Darrell Mancebo.
Omaha table winners were Carole Damoci, Susan Dodson, and Bob Looney.

Dottie Anderson led the ladies with a 478 and 172 game Nov. 14, as Four/Before won three games from Very Striking in Leisure World Bowling League play.
Renato Villanueva led the men with games of 203 and 207 and a 566 series. Connie Terry was second for the ladies with a 473. For the men, Dave Silva bowled a 212 and 563.
The Misfits moved to within one game of Very Striking, winning three games as Richard Ryals had a season high 194. The Misfits had a 871 last game.
We R the 1’s swept their match to move into third place as Eric Dodd bowling a 211 and 547 series. Also moving up with a sweep was Crazy Eight as anchorman Rudy Arzaga had his high game and series, 206 and 691with handicap.
