Men’s Golf Club
Dinner is Dec. 7; club memberships can be renewed
The Leisure World Men’s Golf Club presents its annual year-end dinner on Saturday, Dec.7, in Clubhouse 2.
A Mexican dinner will be served at at 6 p.m., preceded by happy hour at the open bar at 5.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
The cost is $10 a person. Tickets can be purchased at the golf clubhouse.
Only 100 tickets will be available for sale.

Ladies’ Golf Club
Gals play for low net, chip-ins
Forty-six members of the Ladies Golf Club played a game low net and chip ins Nov. 26 at the Leisure World course.
Tuesday morning is ladies’ day when members play a nine-hole tournament.
Flight A: Low net: Yvonne Yim, 22. Chip-ins: Yvonne Yim, 4, 6; Linda Herman, 1; Helen Kim, 9.
Flight B: Low net: Tie between Anne Walshe and Melinda Lee, 23. Chip-ins: Anne Walshe, 2; June Oh, 8.
Flight C: Low net: Sharon Van Otterloo, 24.
Flight D: Low net: Carol Miunn, 21. Chip-ins: Jane Legus, 7.

Weather no problem for golfers
The Friday Golf Group played under threatening weather Nov. 22. Golf holes were set for putts to continue their roll toward the river if not addressed at the correct speed and direction.
Tom McCullough and Bob Todd kept a few putts under control and put up 68s to share a win in the first flight at 68.
Paul Cose had some good shots and got his name on the closest to the pin marker on two holes.
He won on hole 9, and his 71 was good for third place. He also had a bird. Jim Dickerson followed with a 72 for fourth place along with a bird to help.
Rich Miller won the second flight with a fine 64, the low score for the day. Marvin Ballard had a 75 for second place.
Lowell Goltra felt the effects of a couple of those tough holes but finished third at 77. Mauricio Rivero was closest to the pin on No. 2 over Paul Cose and was fourth with an 83.
There were no birds in the second flight.
The annual Friday tournament will be played tomorrow, Friday, at Baker and Dec. 13 at Meadowlark.

Merle McGee wins with a 66
A good turn out of 20 players from the Monday Golf Group hit the course Nov. 18, and some good scores were posted.
Merle McGee shot the low round of the day in the first flight, a 66 and two birdies.
He was followed by David Johns, 68 and a bird; and Tom McCullough and Don McLane with matching 70s. Don and Paul Cose had the fewest putts, 28.
Tom had closest to the pin on the 12th hole, and Paulwas closest on No. 4.
Don and Paul had birds.
Rounding out the flight were Larry Hillhouse, Jim Dickerson and Bill McKusky.
Rich Miller won the second flight with a 67 and low putts of 28. He was followed by Mike Looney, 68; Bob Munn, 71; Ed Dragan, Bob Looney, Mauricio Rivero, Sandy Boardman, Ron Maddox, Marv Ballard and Mike Breen.
Bob Munn had the only birdie in the flight.
Next play for the group will be will Dec. 2 at the Meadowlark course.

Sol Notrica wins with an 841
No member of the Cribbage Club had a perfect game Nov. 26, but Sol Notrica won with a score of 841. He was followed by Alice Buckle, 830; Gene Smith, 829; and Chuck Nugent, 819.
Apple and pumpkin pie and coffee served by Margaret Smith and enjoyed by the group of 41.
Mary Porter was welcomed back.
The club meets at noon on the second Tuesday of the month in Clubhouse 1.
New members are welcome. Seven games are played and the players finish around 3:30 p.m.
