Travel Rollin’ Thunder Golf cart owners gather for picnic
The Rollin’ Thunder Golf Cart Club’s Fourth of July picnic and parade were a big success. It was fun to see all the residents out on the streets waving at all of the carts.
The club will meet Tuesday, July 22, at the Clubhouse 1 picnic area at 1 p.m. Note the location change. Barbecued chicken will be provided; members will bring side dishes and their own drinks. More food dishes rather than desserts will be appreciated.
The Aug. 26 and Sept. 23 meetings will also be held in the Clubhouse 1 picnic grounds, not in Clubhouse 3.

Reserve tables for Aug. 23 swap meet
The Leisure World RV Club will hold its the annual swap meet, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23. The RV storage lot will be open to all Leisure World residents and their guests.
LW residents are invited to participate as sellers, but there are a limited number of tables. Tables are first-come, first-served. A sign-up sheet for sellers is in the lot office, or call Jack Carrigan, lot manger, at the lot office, 596-5934.
There are no RV Club camp- outs scheduled in August. The next camp out will be in September at Newport Dunes RV Resort 20 miles away in Newport Beach. This is a two-night trip Friday and Saturday nights, Sept. 12 and 13, returning Sunday. A wagon master is needed for this outing.
The next LWRVC general meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Clubhouse 1 picnic area for the annual September barbecue and potluck picnic. The club will provide tri-tip and chicken entrees, beverages and all dinnerware, members will bring side dishes, such as salads, hot or cold dishes or desserts. Happy hour begins at 4 p.m; dinner is at 5 and the meeting at 6. Guests are welcome. A sign-up sheet will be in the office in mid-August.

Join Sisterhood for comedy hit at HB Library
Sholom Sisterhood invites shareholders to for an afternoon at the theater, featuring “My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish and I’m In Therapy ” at the Huntington Beach Library Playhouse on Aug. 13 at 2 pm. Tickets are $45.
Steve Solomon’s smash hit comedy is inspired by his hilarious and dysfunctional family and all the people in his life whose sole purpose is to drive him into therapy...and they succeeded. One part lasagna, one part kreplach, and two parts Prozac, a person doesn’t have to be Italian or Jewish to love this show. All one needs, is to know what it feels like to have a family dinner with heartburn and a headache.

St. Jude Support
Trip set to San Manuel Casino
The St. Jude Support Group will sponsor a day-trip to San Manuel Bingo and Casino in Highland on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
All LWers and their guests are invited.
The cost of the trip is $15 and includes $10 back from the casino for food or gaming. The bus will leave from Clubhouse 4 at 9:30 a.m.
