Soup, bread contest is Feb. 18
The Lesiure World RV Club’s first camp out of the new year was to Quartzsite, Ariz. It was a successful trip with 12 rigs showing up. This was a five-day, four-night trip.
Things went well with no problems. It was an eventful three full days of activities. Campers went to the swap meet that was so huge it took two days to see it all.
On the third day campers drove 30 miles to the Indian casino in Parker, Ariz. This trip was arranged by member Bob Croft.
Camp Coordinator Bob Konier welcomes suggestions for future campouts that members would like.
The next camp out is at the Orange Country Fair Grounds, Feb. 14-16, two nights, three days. The wagon masters are Bob and Linda Barisoff.
The March camp out will be at the Pechanga Casino RV Resort in Temecula. This is a mid-week trip, three days, two nights, March 11-13. For Passport America members the cost is half price. The sign-up sheet is in the Lot office. For more information, contact Bob Konier, (714) 702-9225.
The next general meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 18, in Clubhouse 4 at 6 p.m. Social hour begins at 5. There will be a soup and bread contest at 5 p.m. Bring a crock pot of soup or bake a loaf of bread, for the Soup Bread Contest. Winners will receive gift cards. The refreshment committee will serve desserts and liquid refreshments.

The American Legion, Post 327, will escort a day-trip to Pala Casino on Friday, May 2. The cost is $6. There will be five hours of playtime.

Join group for trip to Sierras in March
The New York Club in conjunction with the Los Alamitos Seniors’ Club will host a four-day trip to Wonder Valley Ranch with a side tour along the Blossom Trail, March 5-8.
Wonder Valley Ranch has a down-home country atmosphere nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The fun begins with a hosted happy hour and hilarious activities. All meals are included at the ranch.

Visit gardens in Oregon, Canada
The New York Club will escort a seven-day, six-night trip to the Pacific Northwest April 27-May 3 for a garden tour.
The trip features visits to Portland, Ore., Seattle, Wash., Victoria, B.C., Canada and Vancouver, Canada.
The price, $1,999 per person, double occupancy, $2,499, singles, includes round trip air, baggage handling, deluxe motorcoach transportation, six nights accommodations, two dinners and six breakfasts.

Spend afternoon celebrating St. Patrick’s Day
The PEO, Chapter RT, will escort a St. Patrick’s Day trip to see “Colorful Songs of Broadway” in Alhambra on Monday,March, 17.
Experience the luck and love of the Irish at the troupes’ annual St. Patrick’s Day show featuring Irish folk and popular songs including “Clancy Lowered the Boom,” “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling” along with music from “Brigadoon,” “Meet Me in St. Louis” and “The Happiest Millionaire.”
The cost of the trip is $85 and includes a three-course, waiter-served luncheon with wine and dessert, the show and transportation to the ballroom, overlooking a lake and golf course.

Enjoy bingo at San Diego resort
The New York Club in conjunction with the Los Alamitos Seniors’ Club will host a day-trip to the Viejas Casino and Resort on Wednesday, March 5.
Bingo is where it all started for Viejas, and over a decade later it’s still the best place to play in San Diego. Bingo sessions are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and features new electronic touch-pads.
There is also an outlet mall adjacent to the resort for shopping pleasure.
The cost is $20 per person. The bus departs from Clubhouse 4.

Alaska
Spring cruise set to Inside Passage
The New York Club will escort a 10-night cruise to Alaska’s Inside Passage May 8-18, departing from Vancouver, Canada, and returning to Seattle, Wash., aboard the Norwegian Pearl.
Ports of call include Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Sitka and Victoria, B.C. A day will be spent cruising Glacier Bay.
Prices range from $1,799 per person, inside cabin, to $2,999 per person for a outside balcony, and includes round trip airfare and transfers, port charges and government taxes.
